Vicious circle is a monumental augmented reality piece. It can only be viewed through the screen of a mobile device. The piece traps you in a digital vicious circle in the real world. It was presented in Maastricht during the global Covid-19 pandemic on the platform Cobble.

The piece is a reflection of feeling trapped, but at the same time it is not “real”. You can enter and exit it at any given time.

It came with a short poem that describes our tendency to repeat patterns to feel in control. This, off course, was put under a lot of tension due to the quarantaine measures and we where forced to change and adapt in short amount of time.
